[6] There was foul weather then Fog the night Clifford Roy was born, and a ship the Minniehaha ran aground on Scilly rock. Cliffords' father (Richard Harris ELLIS) was out all night and most of the next day at the rescue, after all the passengers were off; they then saved several hundred cattle for which they were paid in gold soveriegns. When he returned home to his new son he placed a soveriegn in each of his hands and said 'There, may you never in your life be poorer than that', or words to that effect.
